The Man Behind the Lens & Brush:
Thank You for taking your time to read about me. I have been a Photographer since the early age of 6 years old when my Father introduced me to his Leica Camera which was his Father’s Camera. My starter camera was an old Brownie Point & Shoot. I learnt the Eye of Composition very early. I was influenced by my Mother’s Artwork. She primarily painted Oils and Acrylic! I would spend hours with her while she created her artwork either on scene or in home. I studied Art throughout my life and have followed many Artists.
Throughout my years, I continued to learn Photography during my 31 year Career as a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer. After I retired from policing, I studied Digital Photography much more in depth and took courses to fine tune my Skills. While I was learning post production of digital images, I took a course on Fine Arts Landscaping Photography, which is taking my Art Photography to a whole new level. The process of creating fine art from my photography is very relaxing, so I do it everyday!
I am very thankful to my Instructors, Teachers and Mentors along the way. Photography is a Journey not a Destination. I am continuing to grow and learn my skills. Quote: “I am still learning” ~ Michelangelo.
I am giving back to a couple of important causes that help People. I have been a Lions Clubs International member for over 30 years and found a Cause to help youth learn their Life Skills through Lions Quest Programs. Through the years of Law Enforcement, I have seen & witnessed people struggling with Post Traumatic Stress and other Occupational Stresses. Police Calls for Service leave marks & scars; some that are invisible. I have teamed up with Wounded Warriors Canada and was their Gala Dinner Chair in Victoria, BC. Then the Pandemic hit us, so we are finding different ways to raise funds to support our Canadian Veterans and their Families, which does include First Responders, Fire, Law Enforcement, and Ambulance including their Spouses and Children.
August 2021, I am launching Portrait Photography with a Mobile Studio Service. Eventually, my Big Hairy Goal is to do a Cross Canada Tour taking Portraits and Landscape Photography along the way from Coast to Coast!
Final Word of the Day, I believe in Integrity, Inspiration, Service Leadership and Honesty. I am all about Making A Difference in our Lives. I am very passionate & thorough with my work.
Thank You again for your time.
